November 2008
Everyone who has followed JJ's music will know how much part
he's played in The Glenn Hughes Story - from Glenn's 1996 Addiction
album, right through the last twelve years of Glenn's comeback
from the dark days, to this year's right-rockin-funky-funking
F.U.N.K album. But as people develop, they sometimes develop in
different directions, and even though JJ felt like he was firing
on all six when he played with Luis, Anders and Matt etc, his
soul wasn't going in the same direction as Glenn's.
JJ has a great sense of fun, and apart from his music which he
takes VERY seriously, he's not someone who responds to nuclear
heat - so he got out of the nuclear kitchen.
Listen out for new music from JJ with Thomas Bodin and friends.
When it's ready it'll be ready - there's no timescale, it'll be
right when it's right, the same as Planet Marsh was!

Hello all good
people of great musical taste! There
are some exciting things going on right now - as some of you may
have heard, I did a couple of shows with my old mate Glenn
recently, and the vibe was really cool, the gigs sounded fantastic,
and there were a lot of people attending. We had a great time!
There are more shows and festivals coming up this summer which
we are really looking forward to.
As well as this, myself and Thomas
Bodin from the Flower Kings
have put a new band together. We will soon start writing new
material for an upcoming album, but we do not have a time frame
just now. I think the music can be best described as heavy rock
with a progressive touch. I'm really excited about this - there
are lots of ideas flowing, and we will be looking for a singer
- but more about that later! We are also setting up some Planet
Marsh shows, so we're all feeling very inspired. It would
be great to see you, so please come up and say hello if you
can make it!
Rock hard and forever!

Hello! Sorry
for the lack of updates recently but things have been a bit
hectic here and I've not had a chance to keep you posted. First
of all, THANK YOU for all your good wishes
- it's been great to receive your emails and I have been inspired
by your wonderful warm messages and good wishes. I thank you
all, very sincerely. We have been busy here during the last
few weeks, writing and rehearsing new songs for the next album.
We'll put some soundclips online in the new year, be warned!
Also, I met up with Chad recently when
The Chilis played in Stockholm. Click on the
photo for a larger picture. More news soon, I promise, but till
then have a wonderful Christmas and New Year and thank you for
all your fantastic messages during the year. I love
you!
